Their open space gives them the opportunity to serve both drip and espresso while offering an educational experience. Anthology offers instruction to it's customers, which rivals any other type of coffee experience. The island coffee station is one to be admired. Also, cold brews come in beer bottles... Cool! Great and quiet place to get work done in their newly renovated coffeeshop.

Great Lakes Coffee - 3965 Woodward Ave, Detroit, MI 48201

When you say Great Lakes in Detroit it no longer means the Great Lakes that flank Michigan, it's the coffee shop on Woodward in Midtown. Wayne State students and locals flock to this neighborhood hot spot that now does sit down dining in it's decadent extravaganza of a coffeeshop. Great place to meet but it might be tough to get work done unless you don't mind the volume.

Detroit Institute of Arts - Kresge Court - 5200 Woodward Avenue, Detroit, MI 48202

Travel back in time at the Kresge Court to enjoy their unmatched atmosphere. Quiet and serene, Kresge is a great place to surround yourself with inspiring culture while you work on your projects. It's great for meetings with wonderful food options as well. This place gets even better on the weekends. If you haven't been, go. And, if you've been, go again and bring a friend. Nandi's Knowledge Cafe is a well of wealthy knowledge. Part bookstore and part art gallery, Nandi's is a place where "Knowledge is power," and the environment reflects that sentiment. Community activist congregate their to organize efforts and poetry is often performed here. This multi-faceted gem is a must-go for all.

Corktown's finest, Astro Coffee is a haven for coffee enthusiasts and has been around for about 3 years now, serving up the some of the best roasted coffee imaginable. Zzzzzz. Splishhhh. These are the sounds you will hear as coffee beans fly over your head in tubes. It's like the Willy Wonka of coffee shops located in the heart of Detroit in Campus Martius. You might have a hard time studying with all of the noise all around so be sure to bring your headphones.
